Great Southern BioBlitz 2023

Love Your Creek! Refreshing Rivers and Holbrook Landcare Network are teaming up to participate in the Great Southern BioBlitz 2023 [#GSB2023], with a focus on our creeks and waterways. Kylie Durant and Peter Rowland are running a series of tag-a-long and organised events over the BioBlitz period (24-27 November), taking pictures of everything they see and uploading the images to the Refreshing Rivers - Upper Billabong & Great Southern BioBlitz 2023 - Greater Hume iNaturalist projects. Restoring Instream habitat at Billabong Creek, Conargo

An instream planting event occurred in early November at Conargo TSR. Past Central Billabong environmental action has been about securing water and willow removal with limited or no follow-up restoration on riparian areas or instream. Planting for purpose and instream restoration is being showcased as methods to use broadly.
