
We have had a few conversations lately about how people in Holbrook can get more involved with Landcare.
As part of Refreshing Rivers, we are doing some work on the Ten Mile Creek in the Ian Geddes Bush Reserve, and we thought that could be a good place to start.
Our Community Working Bee will be on on Sunday 11th August 2024 from 10-12pm. It will be just a low key morning of a little bit of planting on the creek bank and some bush regeneration-style weed control to start tackling the ivy and some of the more insidious garden escapes.
Even if you can't do much, moral support is most welcome and it can be a time for conversation about what an urban group might look like and where people's interest lies. So come along!

In pursuit of Platypus! We've been eDNA sampling along the Billabong Creek in the Upper Billabong Project Target Area, looking for the presence of Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) in the system.
